Mission Statement
A Vision Fueled by Compassion and Action
Our Mission: Bridging Rescue and Restoration
At IDoption, our mission is more than just an initiative—it's a calling. From the very beginning, our journey has been shaped by a relentless drive to restore dignity, identity, and hope to survivors of human trafficking. We exist to bridge the critical gap between rescue and full restoration, ensuring that those freed from trafficking find not just safety, but a future filled with love, security, and opportunity.
A Life of Purpose: The Story Behind IDoption
The vision for IDoption was born out of a lifetime of service. Founder Morris Pettit was instilled with a deep sense of responsibility for others from an early age. As a child, he walked alongside his mother in church outreaches, advocating for the sanctity of life. These formative experiences ignited a passion for justice and a profound realization—life is about serving others and standing for what is right.
This conviction shaped Morris' path, leading him to mobilize resources and services for large-scale outreach efforts. Throughout his career with global leaders like Hilton Corporation and Ritz-Carlton, he thrived in orchestrating solutions for complex logistical challenges, always with a focus on making a tangible impact. His involvement in organizations like Make-A-Wish Foundation, American Council for the Blind, and Convoy of Hope further reinforced his commitment to humanitarian efforts.
Merging Expertise with Purpose
Morris' entrepreneurial ventures in telecom, IT, and crypto applications gave him a unique skill set—one that combines technological innovation with problem-solving at scale. His leadership roles, including as Corporate VP of Sales at Xerox Corporation, earned him recognition from civic organizations, Fortune 500 firms, and even the White House. But success alone was never the goal—his heart remained fixed on a greater mission: leveraging technology to restore lives.
This mission took its most powerful form through IDoption. Recognizing the urgent need for a secure identification system to support survivors of human trafficking, Morris set out to develop a private identification tool and accelerated adoption platform. This groundbreaking approach ensures that rescued individuals—especially children—are not lost in the system but instead find loving, permanent families.
A Family Committed to Service
Morris and his wife, Rita, continue to live out their commitment to faith and service from their home outside Seattle, Washington. Rita, originally from Hong Kong, moved to the U.S. for her education and has been an unwavering partner in ministry. Together, they have dedicated their lives to outreach, supporting organizations such as Gideons International, summer camps, missions, and children's ministries. Their faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation of their work—believing in true freedom, not just from physical captivity, but in the complete restoration of body, mind, and soul.
